Enter both lifters’ bodyweights and totals. The tool uses the same selected male or female DOTS coefficient set for both. The result compares points under this formula; it does not assign an official meet placing.
What the comparison measures
Each total is multiplied by its own bodyweight coefficient. Subtract the smaller score from the larger score to get the points gap. For the same bodyweight and coefficient set, the larger total always produces the larger score. Across different bodyweights, total alone is not enough to predict the points winner.
Worked example
Using male coefficients: 83 kg bodyweight and a 600 kg total produce approximately 405.05 DOTS. At 93 kg and a 650 kg total, the result is approximately 413.56. The difference is about 8.51 points. These are illustrative inputs, calculated using the published formula and rounding only for display.
Keep the comparison meaningful
Use totals from the same type of event and comparable conditions. A raw three-lift total and an equipped bench-only result are not equivalent performances. This tool has one coefficient selector for the pair, so it is not a mixed male/female comparison calculator. It does not apply age multipliers.

When the numbers are very close
The displayed scores are rounded to two decimals. A displayed tie does not replace a federation’s official tie-break procedure. Check the original results, the required formula and the applicable rules before drawing conclusions about a competition award.
